Dear Readers,
HAPPY 151st BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!! Despite not being in Canada that did not mean Canada Day was not celebrated. In honour of our homelands birthday, my fellow Canadian friends and some of our other friends decided to go have a picnic in Kelvingrove Park! Kelvingrove is always full of people on a beautiful sunny day and it was the same yesterday.
For the last four years, I have spent Canada day working all day at the museum back in Saint John… dealing with screaming children and people constantly touching the artefacts… SO it was such a nice treat to lay in the park have a few drinks, enjoy the sun, listen to some Canadian tunes and proudly wear red and white (even if nobody else around knew that we were celebrating).
It is so cool that even being across the ocean from Canada Canadians are still committed to celebrating Canada’s birthday no matter where they are! Who knows where I will be next Canada day!
