First of all Happy Friday!! Crazy to think this is the last weekend in July… honestly where has the summer gone!? After a recent visit to Rouge, I thought I would share 3 of my favourite places to grab a drink in Uptown Saint John. I have said it a million times but there are just SO many great bars, cafes, and restaruants Uptown Saint John. For a small city there is so much offered. First of all, my three favourite drinks are: Processco, a Gin & Tonic and a pint of Guiness. Lucky for me in little Saint John there are various options to get my favourite drinks, so I thought I would share a few of them.
Rogue. Despite being known for their coffee, Rogue is ALSO licensed. Even better, they have Processo ON TAP. Now that is a feature if I am ever rich and famous I will have installed in my house. This summer they have $5.00 Mimoas on tap in Lemonade (which I am drinking), blueberry and orange.
Port City Royal. Farily often I am here on Friday or Saturday nights, but usually only after 10pm.. because after 10pm they have $3.50 highballs. ONLY $3.50, honestly it is such a steal for a good drink. You can choose whatever liqour you like and whatever mix. I also go for the Gin & Tonics, they are so good!! Plus they also have an excellent late night menu if you are feeling a good late night snack.
Five & Dime. If I am in the mood for a Guiness, or another imported beer like Grolsh this is usually where I would end up. Despite Guiness being an Irish beer, I fell in love with it while living in Scotland and now Stouts are my favourite beer, and I needed to find the best location to have one when I moved back to Saint John. Five & Dime has a great chill atmosphere, and often have local bands playing on the weekends.
There are still so many other great places to grab a drink I didn’t even mention! Like Picaroons, Hopscotch or Decimal 81 (* after 9pm all their drinks after price). For those of you from Saint John, where are your favourite places to grab a drink!?
