Dear Readers,
If you follow me on Instagram, then I am sure you already know my exciting news: I have accepted an offer to start my PhD at Concordia University in Art History starting this coming fall!!!! Despite having already done five years of university I have signed up for another four. Can you tell I love school??
Two weeks ago I went up to Montreal for a luncheon at Concordia for prospective grad students to learn more about the program, and I was sold. I liked Montreal, the Art History Department was excellent, there are so many museums, the city is full of history and most importantly the university felt right for me. I spent about an hour wandering around the campus before the luncheon, and I loved the feel of it. I also did not realize how much I missed being in school until I stepped foot on campus.
For my PhD I will be writing a thesis on Alice Lusk Webster, the woman who started the Art Department at the New Brunswick Museum in the 1930s. If you were following my blog this time last year you might remember the video I did with the New Brunswick Museum talking about Alice Lusk Webster, which you can watch here.
I am still SO excited about my acceptance and I already can’t wait to start classes and start writing my thesis. Looks like I have a new adventure to look forward to.
I’m so excited for you!!! Can’t wait to follow your next adventure. 🙂
